Up in Smoke was always conceived as a film to raise awareness of an issue that many people are
unaware exists, and to actively promote the revolutionary system that could change it for the better. The film and campaign are still at the beginning of a long road, but we have a number of exciting proposals being discussed with influential partners - more news coming soon.

We are delighted to announce that OXFAM, one of the world's leading and best recognised charities, have been actively supporting and promoting the film over the last fews screenings, including the Lincoln Center in the USA and the Tricycle Cinema in the UK. The interest has stemmed from their four year GROW campaign, given that the film resonates with a number of core tenets of this campaign, in promoting sustainable food production and food security.

Better still we now have a growing amount of interest from other Oxfam affiliates around the world who are now becoming engaged with further screenings around the world. These include Oxfam Japan, who will be helping promote repeat broadcasts on NHK Japan. Additional collabroation includes:

OXFAM Germany In a first time NGO partnership with DOK Leipzig, Europe's second largest documentary festival, OXFAM Germany have picked UP IN SMOKE as the only film to have a special screening at the festival on 22nd October 2011. Please go to our Screenings page for more details
OXFAM France OXFAM France have agreed to come onboard to promote the screening of Up in Smoke at the Paris Science Film Festival, with one of their Executive members being a part of the Q&A session after screening on 7th October 2011. Please go to our Screenings page for more details
OXFAM Canada In collaboration with the Planet in Focus Film Festival, OXFAM Canada have also agreed to partner with the film, and will be actively promoting it before and during the festival. Please go to our Screenings page for more details

We are in discussion with OXFAM into how this collaboration may be extended further, so please do check back on this page for further news, and join our mailing list to be kept updated.
