Up in Smoke wins Prix Buffon at Paris Science Film Festival

It is with great pride that we can announce that Up in Smoke was awarded the Prix Buffon at the Paris Science International Science Film Festival.

The Prix Buffon, named after Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon, “the father of all thought in natural history in the second half of the 18th century”, was awarded to UP in Smoke for its unorthodox approach to highlighting the damage done to biodiversity through slash and burn and the ‘remarkable’ approach to stop and reverse it. The Paris Science International Film Festival is a distinguished event organised by the AST, a group of french independent producers working in more than 30 different production companies.
